Admit Nothing and Deny Everything

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU CHOOSE - NIGHTMARE

I was supposed to stay for 2 weeks, but within the first week, they had already lost my teddy bear and my nightgown. When I reported the loss to the reception, the first lady laughed and walked off, the second guy took a few minutes to realise I was serious. They eventually found my teddy bear. 4 days later, they lost the nightgown, which they never managed to find. Their response was that I was not suppose to leave things on the bed, secondly, the worst of all, the manager of the hotel told me that I "claimed" that it was loss, that their cleaning lady who had been there for over 10 years "said" she never saw my nightgown (although she had been cleaning the room for the past 4 nights, where she left the nightgown). They said the nightgown I claimed to be loss is not found and end of story I was merely making a point that when I leave something in the room, I expected it to be there when I returned, however, the manager told me there is no point to arguing, end of story.

One night I returned to the room and the bathroom was full of stains (I believe from some cleaning products which she forgot to wash off), whatever it was, was splashed on my clothes by the basin. In response, the hotel manager said I was not suppose to leave clothes by the basin.

Interesting, I never knew I am not suppose to leave things wherever I wanted in a room I rented..??? Are there set rules for where you leave anything in a hotel room? Is it true that if you leave things outside of their designated area (on the bed or by the basin), it will give them the right to do whatever they want with it???

I had never experienced such pathetic 'service' from a hotel, and what frustrates me even more is that fact that not only did they not apologise, they actually said that it is only something I CLAIM!! How absurd!!

I initially chose this hotel from the website as it is a big hotel chain in Singapore.

Cheap and convenient

The location is very convenient being close to the MRT[ due to open soon ] and with a direct airport shuttle to the hotel, and taxi back to Changi airport.

Air conditioning was much to cold at night when sleeping and noisy. Best to turn it to low - otherwise supply an extra blanket. but for the price t was OK and would use again.
